Natural, Herbal Home Remedies for the Treatment of Earache

Here are Some of the Common Herbal Home Remedies for Curing Earache:

Carrom Seeds and Garlic - Carrom seeds are a good remedy for curing earache fast and effectively. Take 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds and add them in one or two flakes of crushed garlic. Boil both of them until they turn red - after that filter them. This liquid obtained can be used as a ear drop.

Rock Salt - Make a saline water by dissolving small amount of rock salt (sendha namak) in it. You may put few drops of this water in your ear two times daily.

Garlic and Ginger Oil - Boil well 1 teaspoon garlic (lahsun) in 2 tablespoons ginger oil. Cool it to room temperature and then filter it. Use it as a ear drop.

Garlic - Crush a piece of garlic and take out its juice. You may pour this juice in your ear (will work as a good ear drop). This will help in getting rid of earache.

Stay away from Wind - Sometimes, wind may bother your already aching ears - for preventing this wear a scarf when you go outside, or put a cotton swab in your ear.

Neem Leaves - Juice of neem leaves is also good for curing earache.

Basil Leaves - Drop 2-3 drops of lukewarm basil leaves juice. It will help in getting immediate relief.

Chewing Bubble Gum and Yawning - If your earache is due to rise in altitude then, you may chew some bubble gum or do some yawning. This will contract the muscles and open the Eustachian tubes, which may lead to lowering down the pain in ear.

Holy Basil Leaves - Put two drops of holy basil leaves juice in the aching ear.

Mineral Oil and Give some Heat - For swimmer's ear, put some mineral oil in both ears before going in the water. Apply some heat to your aching ear using a heating pad or a warm cloth.

Hydrogen Peroxide - Put few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the aching ear.

Sudafed - Sudafed may also help in getting earache away. For more information ask your doctor what might be best for you.
